The saga continues and what a good saga it is! Book 2 in the Rapture & Ruin series, Stolen Princess, was just as entertaining as the first for me! I love the back and forth pull of Allie’s feelings for Max. She knows that she shouldn’t care about him so much but she can’t help how she feels.
I also appreciated Max’s turmoil throughout the book not wanting to damn Allie to a life centered around the mafia but also knowing he’ll never find another woman that he feels as strongly about as Allie.
I love that Max continues to be the protector we all want to have. I love that Allie is persistent and won’t let things go. I like that she’s intrigued by Niko, but also still sees through his BS.
In book 1, I felt like Allie was a little naive and through this book, I really feel like she’s starting to take her self appointed blinders off and see her world for what it really is. I hope in the final book we continue to see this growth in her character as a strong young woman fighting to find the truth and share her love with those she cares about. Max, on the other hand, at the end of this book has made me want to shake him. I am hoping he finds a way back to my good graces in book 3 as I am thoroughly frustrated with some of his choices in this book. Regardless, I cannot wait to read more about this book family and see how everything ends up!! Come on, book 3!!

What a wonderful new story from the incredibly talented Aleatha Romig. It doesn’t matter if she’s writing a dark/mafia story, an extra spicy book, or a lighter happy read, the story always has a way of sucking you in. I loved all the characters of this book. While both our main characters made some decisions that I personally wished they didn’t, I still really enjoyed their story and how it all ended. I loved that we got the full scope of the story of Dax and Kandace. I like that we got to see them as kids and how they individually grew as life went on. I loved Ruth and her love for her family. I loved Kandace’s parents and their dedication to her and Molly. I loved all of them. The world building is so well done in this book and I just want to buy a little house on Main Street of this sweet little town and live up the small town life now. Overall, I quintessentially enjoyed this story and am so glad I had the opportunity to read and review it. This story was overall a light, happy, easy read and just what I needed!

My emotions are all over the place after finishing this book! I am very much sitting here both asking myself what I just read and confidently knowing that I cannot wait to dive in to the next book tomorrow. I have so many mixed feelings about all the characters in this book. One thing about me is that I will always root for the rookie, or the one no one expects to see good from. I’ll always hope for the damaged bad boy to find the girl who believes in him and treats him the way he always deserved to be treated. While Max started off making some choices I really abhorred in this book, by the end… the man stole my heart! Allie is also so intriguing to me. She’s a little naive. She’s a little blind to what’s going on around her. But she’s also a little fierce (still think she should’ve sunk those keys into Gavin’s face) and ultimately I think she’ll be a fighter. I can’t wait to see how this story unfolds. I can’t wait to see how Niko is a part of it. I simultaneously feel bad for him because of his controlling jerk of a father but also not that bad because he’s the son of that Bratva king. Ah, overall I am just so intrigued in this story and all the characters and I cannot wait to find out what happens next! Bring it on!!

What a story! This book kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire story. I was so intrigued, from the get go, of our two protagonists. Bronson was fascinating to me. His story of how he became who he became, for the reason he became that person, I mean... how could you not?! And Red... because honestly, after reading this book it's truly hard for me to reference her as anything else (especially since so many people who did not love her as she deserved called her Georgia)... broke my dang heart. My heart just ached for the little girl Georgia was and everything she went through as she got older. To call her a warrior and a survivor is an understatement. I loved how this book ended, especially for her. It was everything she deserved and more. There were so many special parts to this story, but especially towards the end... just pulled on the heart strings!
Red and Bronson are two of the most dynamic characters I've read in a while, both with a very strong backstory all on their own, but when they come together... fireworks, both the good and the bad kind! I love that Red finally got to see what family is supposed to look like. I love that Bronson gets to be seen and appreciated for the good things he's done and not solely focused on the bad. I also love that he gets challenged by her. Red's sass and spitfire tendencies have to be one of my favorite things. I love that there are so many things that complement but also set apart about these characters. I also can't end this review without mentioning all the incredible secondary/supporting characters- Roy, Abuela, Angela and the Magic Man... they brought so much to this story too!!
Overall, I just thoroughly enjoyed this read. I am so pumped to know there is going to be another story in the series, this time focusing on Daniel. I love how good of a friend, how loyal of a friend, he is to Bronson so I can only imagine how he would handle finding a woman who steals his heart. I'm also secretly hoping Steve gets a love story in the end, he needs to find his own Shawty!

What a great addition to the Adair family series! I have been so curious about Eredine since she was first introduced early on in the series. She’s always seemed so quiet, so reserved, keeping most of her life private so as to possibly hide a scary past, but I’ve also always thought of her as so strong. This book just proved that for me. While all the leading ladies in each story in the Adair family series is amazing and strong, Ery really just spoke to me in this story. She’s a warrior. She may not think she is, she may struggle with dealing with her past, have struggles with anxiety and panic, but damn can she hold her own and don’t you dare try to treat her like glass. I just love her. I also can’t mention how much I love her without mentioning Arran Adair. I’ve been curious about him too in the other stories. He was always the wild child wanderer of the family but I love seeing the transformation that occurs for him. I love the growth of both of these characters. I just love the whole Adair family. Samantha Young has done such an incredible job of storytelling in this series that it is easy to picture yourself at Ardnoch, amongst the Adairs, and the life they lead. The world building of this story and all the stories in this series is phenomenal, and I didn’t want to stop reading. There’s so much action that you’re locked in every page. Thank you for another great story, Ms. Young! I cannot wait for Bro’s story!!
