I don’t even know where to begin! It’s been a while since I’ve been in the Dark Ones world, but man oh man did Darkest Power remind me how much I freaking love this series!! It is so original, so different, so engaging and entertaining! I loved this story. I loved getting all the cameos of the other immortals in the series I’ve previously fallen for. I loved learning more about Horus and being introduced to Kit. I loved their star crossed lovers story. They both had to sacrifice so much and go without so much for the other, it just about breaks your heart. Add in a redeemed fallen star and wowza- this book will hit you in the feels with all the heart, angst, sacrifice and love. The scene where all the immortals (minus Horus) join Kit outside… tears rolled down my face! There are so many touching moments in this book as well as little blips that make you smile or laugh, it really covers a wide variety of emotions for the reader. I loved this book overall and think it is another great addition to this series. I will be waiting with baited breath for Bannick’s book next because I am so intrigued by him after this book. Please let it happen soon RVD, Please!!
