I have been anxiously awaiting the installment of the next Adair family segment and this one did not disappoint!! I did receive an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and I’m so glad that I did!
Regan and Thane’s story is just so original and so specifically them. Their story is back and forth, forward and back, but I love that it relates to how hard their relationship would really be in the real world.
Before I go into too much detail, I’ll say this. Once again, I love ALL the characters in this story. The author has a way of making you fall in love with all the characters, whether they are the main protagonists or not! Lewis and Eidlidh stole my heart. How great Regan was with them made me feel like it just had to be meant to be. The way the kids just naturally took to her almost immediately and she was such a positive person for them just made my heart so happy. Thane, poor thing, has had the worst betrayal so no wonder he is weary and scared to open himself up to risks again. Regan has been through her own trauma, but much like her sister knows what she wants and is going to go after it, and I freaking love that about her!
Truly, this was a couple you want to see succeed. They have their own speed bumps and their own reasons for why it won’t work, but man- the romantic in your heart just has you pulling so hard for them! There are so many ups and downs in the story that play such an impact on both Reagan and Thane, but you’re still hoping and praying they can find their way to one another in the end. One thing I hoped for most of all was that Regan could become the person she really wants to be and spoiler alert, she finds who she is and OWNS IT which makes me so thrilled for her! I loved the development of her character from start to finish of this book. At the beginning of the story, I wasn’t really crazy about Regan but she definitely won me over in the end. Thane had me from the beginning, though he did make me want to choke punch him a time or two 😂
Overall, I loved this story and so glad I had the chance to read it! Hope you take the chance on it too!
