Review:
Jewel E. Ann always knows how to take us on a wild ride! As each chapter continued in this story, I had to know what was going to happen. I was invested with each character and storyline, not just our main characters, Sunday Morning and Isaac. I was intrigued by the life of the preacher’s daughter/family, I wanted to know more about Matt, the baseball star and golden child of the Cory’s. I needed to know more about the entire Cory family dynamic- what really happened with Isaac, his Dad, his Mom, everything! I will say, there are one or two things I expected to happen but for the most part, this book took SEVERAL unexpected turns and one in particular I in no way was prepared for. It WRECKED me. And then all the broken pieces were gathered together and transported into a sea of yellow and black. If you haven’t read the book yet, you won’t know what I mean by that and I’m not going to add more because I hate spoilers, but just read this book and then you’ll know! And for those who have read the book… swoon. Isaac is everything you hope for in a leading man. Sarah transforms through this book and I love the woman she becomes at the end. I also love Jewel E. Ann’s commitment to all of the Biblical names through the book. Overall, I just really enjoyed this story. Jewel E. Ann always has a way of writing the most captivating characters and stories and this one continued on with that tradition. I’m so glad this book made it from my TBR to my read list!
