Review:
I finished this book HOURS ago and I still cannot stop thinking about it. I haven’t figured out exactly how I’m going to put into words how much I loved it, but I am going to try my best!
Let me start off by saying, I have been looking forward to this book for so long. Ever since we were introduced to Lewis’ parents as well as Callie’s, all of Samantha Young’s die hard fans have begged and hoped for a Callie/Lewis story to come forth. You can’t imagine my excitement when I found out it was actually happening and when I knew I’d get the chance to read an ARC (advanced reader’s copy) of it! It was everything I hoped for and more. I’ve never read about a couple more meant to be than this couple right here. It was such an incredible experience getting to watch these two characters grow up together as kids and then watch their love go from sweet yet fierce childhood friendship to the explosive, passionate, untouchable story it develops into. These two are characters that everyone just knew belonged together from an early age, but whether they’d figure that out or not was yet to be determined. Their story has ups and downs like any love story, but as the reader you are constantly pulling for them and hoping they will be able to find their happily ever after. There’s also someone up to no good in the book and I am happy to report I did not predict how that part would end (in fact guessed the wrong person as the baddie), but loved the suspense it brought! I also loved that not only do we get to see so much of grown up Callie and Lewis, but we also get to have updates about the entire Adair family who is a fictional family that I will adore, forever.
Overall, I just really enjoyed this story. It really feels like it has come full circle from getting to watch the beginning of this family form to now watching the children grow up and falling in love, too. It’s been a beautiful story and I will be so sad one day soon when it’s over. For now, I am hoping and praying that Samantha Young left us enough little Easter eggs about Eidlidh and Fyfe that we have at least one more special story to come! I would so love to read their story, please please please!!
