Review:

RC Boldt has done it again! If you’re looking for a book with suspense, mystery, a little bit of angst and some irresistible passion, this is the book for you! Boldt takes us on a journey through this book where we are trying to figure out the problem right alongside the main characters. I loved that both we got to read from both Mac and Daniel’s POV as they both have very different ones, but are ultimately looking for the same answers. Mac is a strong willed spitfire who made me laugh out loud so many times. Looks can be deceiving and she is very good at keeping people at a distance (and has her reasons for it), but once you get to see glimpses of the real Mac, she’s just so likable it’s easy to see why those who do know her love her! Daniel is rough around the edges and has a career one wouldn’t be super thrilled about, but honestly with his childhood and all the things he’s endured, it’s pretty understandable. I think it’s pretty amazing his character is so strong through all of the trials he’s gone through and by the end, all I really wanted to see was a happy ending for him. I loved getting to see little snapshots of Danny’s BFF and Georgia, if you’ve read Beyond My Darkness, you’ll love these snippets too. I loved that this story had its own version of Angela (hello sweet Mammy) too!  There’s so many things I loved about this book, especially the main characters and the struggles they went through to get to where they ultimately did in the end are at the top of the list. I also love that this book just kept me guessing. It kept me turning the pages and having to read the next chapter because I needed to know what the next clue was going to be, I needed to know who was behind everything, I needed to know how it was happening, I just needed to know! I loved the characters, the suspense, the great world building and the fire. Overall, I just really enjoyed this book and I hope you’ll take the time and read it too!

Review:

Boy oh boy, did this book take me for a ride or what?! I had so many different emotions reading this story. From the very beginning, the first emotion was sadness only because this is the last book of the Adair Family series and I am going to miss it terribly. With each installment, I looked forward to what new couple I would fall in love with; what horrible event may occur that will hopefully ultimately lead the two leading characters closer together; and what the latest update is for all the others from earlier books I’ve already fallen head over heels for! After getting over that initial sadness and just diving deep into this story, I was excited. I loved the premise of Monroe and Brodan’s relationship, starting from childhood on. I love who Brodan was for Monroe as a young boy himself. I understood Monroe’s love and infatuation for the boy who cared for her in the best way she’d ever known. I loved it. Then, they started to grow up and both made choices that I didn’t love so much. After Brodan decided to come home to Ardnoch, he really ticked me off there for a while. While the other men in the Adair family series have done things that bothered me, I don’t think any of them have made me as angry as Brodan did a few times in this series. As the story continued to unfold and we learned more and more, I was able to extend a little more grace and forgiveness than I initially thought I’d be able to. Brodan definitely grew on me in this story, and by the end, he has become as beloved a character as all the other men in this series. That’s enough about Brodan for now, though. My girl crush is totally on Monroe in this story! She is such a survivor. She has gone through blow after blow and continues to fight, continues to look for the positive, continues to forgive (herself and others), continues to know her worth despite those who are supposed to love her treating her the opposite of what she deserves. Monroe’s heart seems so pure and genuine and she easily seems like the type of friend you’d be lucky to have in your life. I found myself wanting all the things, all the best for Monroe, and I love that a book and fictional characters can make me react so strongly. This truly speaks to the incredible talent of Samantha Young and her intrinsic ability to create a fictional world so easy to fall in love with. This book is just another example of that. I’m not going to go into too many more details because I want you to read it and experience it all on your own, but it’s so good. I enjoyed this book and this series so much. The setting of this series is magical. I want to tour the castle and walk on the beach with a view of the North Sea, feeling the wind blowing through my hair, sipping on a nice glass of Scotch with a picnic basket in hand. This book, this series I think, is a love letter to Scotland, to its beautiful people, to the love that is possible for us all. Thank you Ms. Young for such an incredible story, in such a magical setting. You’ve made my wanderlust heart boost Scotland to the top of my bucket list after reading this incredible series. If you haven’t taken the time to read this series yet, please do. You won’t be disappointed!

Omg!!! This book was so freaking good! It had more twists and turns than I could have ever predicted. When I first started the book, I was a little intimidated at how long it was going to be and if it would be able to keep my attention all the way through. Let me tell you, there was no need for me to worry at all about that! Jodi Ellen Malpas knows how to write a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat, so invested in finding out how it all ends!! 

I have loved this series from book one and each and every story after makes me love it more. I love that we got to see more of the characters we’ve fallen in love with already and get updates about all of them! I love this crazy mafia family Malpas has created in this series and how different they all are, but how they just belong together too. I love that in this book especially we as the reader really get to keep up with all of them, learning more about not only Danny & Rose, James & Beau, but also Esther, Daniel, Brad, Tank and Fury, etc.! I loved that this story wasn’t solely focused on one but really encompassed the whole crew that I’ve grown to love reading about. The massage scene after the guys helped all of the women had me laughing out loud. Multiples twists at the end revealed things I NEVER considered or expected! When I say I was surprised by multiple things at the end of this story, I mean it. Then the ending of this book? It’s just… perfect. It’s perfectly them, perfectly relatable to these characters and this story, and was just the icing we all need on the cake. I cannot wait for the next book in this series, cannot wait for the next update on all these characters, and especially look forward to seeing how Brad is going to try to weasel his way out of falling for a woman LOL! Thank you for another incredible story, JEM!

Aww! What a cute read! <—— Literally what I said, out loud, to myself, after finishing this book 😂🥰This book is just another example of what I love about every Carina Rose story I read. They are sweet and wholesome and just leave you with a happy, feel good feeling after completing her book. Falling for the Rookie gave me those same feel good feelings I’m so used to with all of her books. Falling for the Rookie was just the right level of sweet, funny and romance I desperately needed to provide a little escape from the craziness of the world today. 

Charlie, our heroine, is the type of girl you can imagine just easily makes friends with anyone she meets. She is friendly, brilliant, beautiful and seemingly talented at everything she does, but is also completely humble. Collin is a dreamboat. Charlie’s dreamboat specifically, but he could make any girl fall for him! He is selfless, an incredible athlete, a great brother, and handsome. 

I love the premise of this story and that Charlie has known from day one how she feels. I’m a sucker for romance and I love the idea of love at first sight. There are some trials for each person through this book and it has you cheering for them and strongly hoping things will go in the direction you want to see! I love the friends and teammates who play a role in this book and love getting to see updates of other couples I’ve fallen for earlier on in this series! This is part of a series but I think can easily be read as a standalone if you want, though of course I encourage reading them all because I loved them all! Overall, this book was just what I needed and a great installment for this series. There was love, passion, a little bit of angst, and a whole lot of hope and happiness. If you’re needing a light read like me and have a thing for a good sports romance, this is the one for you!

Review:

This book started out intense and didn’t slow down one bit! This story literally had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Catherine Cowles knows how to create an incredible fictional world and draw you into it like you are a regular part of the world she created! I love the visualization of this small mountain town atmosphere she created, complete with a family you’ll be unable to resist, a heroine you’d be crazy not to root for, several nosy neighbors and friends that make the world go round. It’s easy to picture yourself walking down Main Street or stopping in for coffee at The Brew. I love getting to know and fall in love with all of the members of the Hartley family. Grae is the best friend you always want to have by your side. Mr. and Mrs. Hartley are parents every kid could turn to. All of Holt’s brothers have something so intriguing, redeeming, interesting about them… and then there’s Holt. 

There are some parts of this book I was so frustrated with Holt as he made some bone headed decisions, but overall… the love he has for Wren is hard not to love! He is fiercely protective, loving, smart, and willing to sacrifice himself easily for the girl he loves. 

That girl isn’t so willing to let him do that though! Wren had to grow up on her own and make it through some huge struggles she never thought she’d have to go through. She’s a fighter though and persevered through so many challenges. She’s full of grace and love and forgiveness and hope. She goes above and beyond for everyone, even those who others may think don’t deserve it.

Reading their story was scary and anxiety inducing, but also hopeful and sweet. All the characters in this book tug on your heart strings and make you want to know more about each of them. The end of this book had a twist that I thought I was somewhat expecting, but then had a big surprise that I didn’t expect! It was so good and I couldn’t put it down. Definitely let a few of the house hold chores slide the last day or so, but alas- they’ll get done after I recover from all these feels and this book hang over!! Thank you to Catherine Cowles for such a great story, I am so excited this will be a series- I cannot wait for Nash and Maddie’s story next!! Then I’m hoping for Lawson and Roan one day too!

Aleatha, you did it again!! This ending is just as intense as the first book in this series! I knew that I should be preparing myself for a cliffhanger but I didn’t and then it was there and now I’m here begging you for book 3 to be out tomorrow!!!

More on Resilient Reign, though. This story continued in the best way. If you haven’t read Ruthless Reign, it’s a must before this one. In this book, we learn so much more about what’s going on behind closed doors in the royal world of Molave! I love that Lucille gets to take a more active role in her position and starts to feel like she’s actually working with and for the people. I love that Roman is learning more and more. It’s such a mystery of what’s really going on, what happened to those who came before, and how’s it all going to end?! I’ve had so many questions through this book and some were answered and then more were created at the very end!! This book was fast paced and hard for me to put down because I felt with each page, each chapter, I was learning vital information about this story that I just had to find out! Aleatha has such a way of creating suspense and mystery while developing characters in a way that you’ll love and want to root for, it shows her incredible talent at writing such great stories. I cannot wait for the next book in this series. As I mentioned at the beginning, there is a bit of a cliffhanger at the end but I promise it’ll leave you on pins and needles too and begging to see how it all ends in the end!! Thank you for another incredible story Ms. Romig and please let us have the next book soon!!

Mad, mad love for this book!! 

I have been looking forward to Tessa’s story since her character was first introduced! She seems like the kind of friend, the kind of person, who just exudes joy, happiness, love. Her friendship with Eden is so precious and reminds me of the very best parts of my relationships with my favorite girlfriends. I also always loved how good Tessa was with everyone, especially Gage and Junie. I always hated the scum she settled for and always knew she deserved so much better!! I wondered what made her stay with him, had to know the story there. That was easily cleared up in this book as we got to learn so much more of Tessa’s story and the life she’s lived, and the person she’s become because of it. 

Enter, Milo. I was so not prepared for him!! Wow. His story is one I did not expect but could not stop reading about. My heart broke for the things he had to go through, both when he was a child and an adult. How could anyone not struggle after the things he went through? The chemistry in this book is off the charts! The love in this book is mad. The family in this book is everything. There is angst and drama, love and loss, hope and fear. So many emotions were felt throughout this book and I couldn’t put it down!! This book could be read as a standalone, but I highly, highly recommend reading the series in order for the full emotional, amazing experience! For now, I’m just going to sit in my post Redemption Hills bliss and day dream about this whole rowdy family I’ve fallen in love with! 🖤
